Michael Anseeuw is CEO of BNP Paribas Fortis and member of the Executive Committee of BNP Paribas since the start of 2023. He has been working in banking since 2001, holding different positions both in headquarters (a.o. Finance, M&A) and international business divisions (a.o. consumer finance, retail banking). From late 2014 until the end of 2022, he has been heading the retail banking activities of BNP Paribas Fortis. Prior to joining the bank in 2001, he worked as a management consultant on several international assignments and co-founded an internet start-up late in the 90’s. Michael Anseeuw holds a degree of Civil Engineering option Physics of the University of Ghent.
