Regina Doherty is a Member of the European Parliament for Dublin with Fine Gael and the European Peoples Party, bringing extensive experience as a former Cabinet Minister, Leader of the Seanad and Government Chief Whip. She serves as Vice-Chair of the European Parliament’s Tax Matters Committee and also the Housing Committee. Regina supports strengthening Europe’s financial sector, working to ensure people have more money in their pockets and can benefit from the Savings and Investments Union. She is advancing practical proposals to the European Commission to tackle the housing crisis. Regina is a strong advocate for safer online lives, ensuring children and citizens are protected from scams and digital threats. Regina sits on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee (IMCO), the Employment and Social Affairs Committee (EMPL), the Subcommittee on Tax Matters (FISC), the Special committee on the Housing Crisis in the European Union (HOUS), the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON), and the Delegation for Relations with the Countries of South Asia (DASE).
